Me, with the best present my husband has ever bought me, an antique copy of Journey to the Centre of the Earth, by Jules Verne

I’m a thirty something year old writer from northern Australia. I write a little bit of anything and everything but my passion lies in Fantasy, both Epic Fantasy and Urban Fantasy.

I love the idea of being able to write about anything that pops into my head, not being restricted by science and the laws of physics. I have a passion for telling stories, and that’s what my writing is all about, getting the stories in my head out into the world.

I also have a passion for religion, the oldest form of story. I think some of them are the best tales ever told, which has helped them survive the the test of time. I love writing about fictional religions and I love fleshing out the details in religious stories.

As a teenager growing up in the 90’s in rural Australia while the internet was still getting it’s feet I felt there was a shortage of LGBTQQIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual) representation in media. In todays media landscape I find the opposite, almost a deluge of representation, sometimes just a token supporting character, but more importantly sometimes as a point of irrelevance. I find myself leaning towards enjoying the latter, incidental sexual representation and try to include the same in my writing.

I read a tonne, I do it in any spare moment that I’m not writing pretty much. I read the same kind of things I write and then some. Occasionally I blog about some of the stuff that I really like.

I’m polishing off my final drafts before I self publish my first novel, a non-fiction tale based on my life. In between editing I’m writing my first Epic Fantasy.
